The Best PDRN Cream

Best PDRN Cream Tested & Reviewed [2026 Updated]

LiaBy Lia · K-beauty reviewer · Updated July 20, 2026

PDRN is the most hyped ingredient in K-beauty right now — and honestly, most “PDRN creams” don’t have enough real PDRN to earn the name. I bought and tested five of the biggest ones, read the Korean reviews, and checked exactly what kind of PDRN each actually uses. Here’s the honest ranking.

The short version: the best PDRN cream I tested is Dr. Reju-All Advanced PDRN Rejuvenating Cream — real salmon PDRN at a proper dose, developed with doctors. Several famous “PDRN” creams are lovely products that barely qualify as PDRN creams at all. Below: what PDRN is, a comparison table, and every pick with its honest score.

What is PDRN?

PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a repair-and-regeneration ingredient made of short DNA fragments, traditionally extracted from salmon or trout. In clinics it’s often injected to speed healing, calm inflammation, and support collagen and elasticity. In a face cream it works topically — gentler than an injection — for soothing, hydration, and a plumper, firmer look.

🧬 The catch nobody tells you: two things decide whether a “PDRN cream” is legit — the source and the amount. Salmon/marine PDRN is the kind with actual research behind it. “Plant” or “phyto” PDRN (from fermented plants) is newer, cheaper, and has very little clinical evidence — so a giant “10,000ppm” phyto number can mean less than a modest salmon-PDRN dose. And because PDRN is a large molecule that doesn’t absorb deeply, topical results are always milder than the injectable hype implies. That’s the lens I scored these with.

How I tested these PDRN creams

I bought all five creams with my own money and used each one daily for at least two to three weeks — long enough to judge texture, how they layer under makeup, and how my skin actually felt over time, not just first impressions. Alongside my own testing, I read the Korean-language reviews on Olive Young and each brand listing, and I checked every ingredient list to confirm the two things that decide whether a “PDRN cream” is real: the source of the PDRN (salmon vs plant) and the concentration in ppm. My scores weight that PDRN reality heavily — a cream can be a lovely moisturizer and still score low as a PDRN product.

Salmon vs plant PDRN — and the ppm that actually matters

Salmon (marine) PDRN is the original, researched form: polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA, the same lineage as the clinic treatments PDRN is famous for. “Phyto” or “plant” PDRN is a newer, fermented plant-derived alternative marketed as vegan — gentle and ethical, but with very thin peer-reviewed evidence behind it. That’s why the source outranks the headline number.

On ppm: PDRN is a large molecule that doesn’t penetrate deeply from a cream, so even a genuine dose works gradually. A serious salmon formula at 1,000–1,200ppm (Dr. Reju-All, Anua) does more than a flashy “10,000ppm” of phyto (VT). And watch the serum-vs-cream trap — within one brand the two can differ tenfold (Anua’s cream is 1,000ppm; its serum just 100ppm). Rule of thumb: check the source first, the number second, and never assume the serum matches the cream.

1. The one that actually delivers PDRN — Dr. Reju-All Advanced PDRN Rejuvenating Cream

This is the one I’d hand a friend who actually wants PDRN. It uses 1,200ppm of real salmon-derived PDRN (99% pure salmon DNA) — the researched kind — backed by niacinamide, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid, panthenol and adenosine. It’s developed with doctors and pharmacists and stocked in Korean skin clinics, and shoppers love it (4.4★ across 1,700+ ratings, 10,000+ bought last month).

The texture is a clear gel-cream that sinks in nourishing, not greasy. It’s not a flashy viral product — it’s the quiet, well-formulated one. My PDRN score: 10/10. If you’re buying a PDRN cream because you want PDRN, start here (it comes in 20ml and a larger 60ml).

2. Best for hydration — Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Cream

Shoppers adore this one — 4.8 stars across 8,398 Olive Young reviews, 91% recent-positive, with reviewers raving about deep hydration and how well makeup grips over it. And the PDRN is genuinely solid: 1,000ppm paired with hyaluronic acid. My PDRN score: 9/10.

⚠️ Don’t get fooled: this is the cream. Anua’s PDRN serum contains only 100ppm — a tenth of the cream. If you want the PDRN payoff from this line, buy the HA cream, not the serum.

3. The viral crowd-pleaser — VT PDRN Capsule Cream 100

Here’s where the two-layer truth matters. As a cream, people love it — 4.9 stars across 5,757 reviews, praised for a non-sticky, hydrating finish and a great makeup base (the capsule format and Pokémon editions don’t hurt). If you just want a nice everyday moisturizer, you’ll be happy.

But as a PDRN cream? It’s overhyped. That “10,000ppm” headline is phyto (plant) PDRN, which has little clinical evidence — a big number attached to the weaker kind. My PDRN score: 4/10. Buy it for the texture, not the DNA.

4. The gentle vegan pick — Dr.Althea PDRN Reju 5000 Cream

Taken on its own, this is a genuinely lovely, gentle cream: vegan, fragrance-free, with a huge dose of centella (50,000ppm) plus panthenol and peptides in a lightweight, soothing gel texture. It’s an Amazon’s Choice pick at 4.6 stars. For calming and barrier support, it’s easy to recommend.

The PDRN, though, is plant/probiotic-derived (from fermented ingredients) at 5,000ppm — vegan-friendly, but the same “little clinical evidence” caveat applies as VT. My PDRN score: 3/10. Buy it as a soothing vegan moisturizer, not as your PDRN treatment.

5. The glow cream in PDRN’s clothing — Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream

Users genuinely love it — 4.7 stars across 1,342 reviews, praised for next-day radiance, hydration, a plumped feel, and the fun pink capsules you crush and mix in. As a glow cream, it delivers.

But that glow is coming from its 5% niacinamide, not PDRN — the PDRN here is just 200ppm, far too low to call this a real PDRN cream. My PDRN score: 2/10. A lovely radiance-and-hydration cream wearing a trendy label.

How to choose a PDRN cream (without getting fooled)

  • Check the source first. “Salmon” or “marine” PDRN = the researched kind. “Plant/phyto/vegan PDRN” = far less evidence, regardless of the ppm.
  • Then check the dose — but in context. A modest salmon-PDRN number beats a giant phyto one. Watch for a huge ppm masking a weak source.
  • Serum ≠ cream. Within the same brand, the cream and serum can have wildly different PDRN levels (see Anua: 1,000ppm cream vs 100ppm serum).
  • Set expectations. Topical PDRN is a soothing, supportive step — gentle and gradual, not an injectable-level miracle. Pair it with SPF and consistency.

💡 My honest take: most “PDRN creams” are good moisturizers with a buzzy label. If you specifically want PDRN, buy real salmon PDRN (Dr. Reju-All, or Anua’s cream). If you just want a nice cream, several of the “low scorers” here are lovely — just don’t pay a PDRN premium for phyto filler.

Who should skip a PDRN cream

PDRN isn’t a must-have for everyone. If your main goals are dark spots, acne, or deep wrinkles, your money is better spent on a vitamin C, a BHA, or a retinoid — PDRN is a soothing, supporting player, not a targeted fix for those. If a “PDRN cream” uses phyto PDRN or a token dose, you’re really just buying a nice moisturizer, so only pay the PDRN premium for a real salmon dose. And because salmon PDRN is marine-derived, anyone with a fish allergy should patch test or pick a vegan option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does topical PDRN actually work?

Most PDRN research uses injectable forms, and PDRN is a large molecule that doesn’t absorb deeply, so a cream’s effect is milder — think soothing, hydration, and a supported, plumper look over time rather than a dramatic change. Salmon-derived PDRN has the most evidence behind it.

Is plant (phyto) PDRN as good as salmon PDRN?

Not by the evidence. Plant/phyto PDRN is vegan-friendly and gentle, but it has very little clinical research compared with salmon/marine PDRN — so a high phyto ppm isn’t the flex it sounds like.

Which PDRN cream is best overall?

In my testing, Dr. Reju-All Advanced PDRN Rejuvenating Cream — real salmon PDRN at 1,200ppm, doctor-developed, and loved by shoppers. Anua’s PDRN HA cream is the best runner-up, especially for hydration.

The verdict

If you want a PDRN cream that’s actually about PDRN, buy Dr. Reju-All (or Anua’s HA cream for hydration). The viral names — VT, Dr.Althea, Medicube — are nice creams, but they’re carried by niacinamide, centella, and hydration, not by meaningful PDRN. Now you know which is which.
